The brief:

The customer required 2 x 4000 litre buffer vessels. However due to the limitations in size of the plantroom doors, access of complete vessels was impossible. With this in mind Ormandy would need to design the vessels in sections.

The solution

Ormandy Rycroft resolved the issue by designing 2 x 4000 litre buffer vessels in sections. It was fabricated at our factory, assembled and fully tested, and then disassembled into sections for delivery to the hospital. Once the sections were taken into the hospital, it was reassembled and commissioned on the customer’s site.

This is a problem that exists for many businesses requiring refurbishment or renovation, where access from the roadside to the plantroom has access limitations. It is also where Ormandy’s bespoke manufacturing capability comes into its own. As one of a few suppliers in the UK to manufacture sectional vessels, Ormandy’s expertise has helped hundreds of businesses overcome difficult situations when they need replacement vessels but are faced with the dilemma of how to get them in place.

Our team take into consideration all types of restrictions such as narrow corridors, small doorways and other spatial restrictions, as well as new equipment or pipework which has been added over the years following the placement of the original vessel.

All vessels are manufactured and designed to British Standards, PED, and Building Regulations.
